  • Your postcode (used to identify your federal electorate).

  • Your mobile number, suburb, and any comment you choose to provide (each optional unless the petition marks them required).

  • Whether you opted in to receive campaign updates.

  • Your IP address and browser user agent at the time of signing (stored in hashed or encrypted form for fraud prevention).

How we use it

The personal information you provide may be used by The Nationals, the National Party of Australia, the Liberal National Party of Queensland, the Liberal Party of Australia, and their Senators and Members of Parliament to:

  • contact you about the petition you signed and any related campaign updates;

  • contact you about other matters of political interest, including campaigns, events, and policy consultations;

  • provide your name, postcode, and electorate to the relevant Member of Parliament or Senator as part of the petition's stated purpose.

You may opt out of further contact at any time by emailing us (see the contact section below) or using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.

Who we share it with

We use the following service providers to operate this site and send communications. Each holds your information only as needed to provide their service:

  • Mailchimp — for managing email lists and sending campaign updates.

  • Resend — for sending transactional emails such as petition confirmations and digest summaries to your local representative.

  • Vercel — for website hosting.

  • Cloudflare — for spam and bot protection.

We do not sell your information.

Analytics

If enabled by the site administrator, this site may use Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, and Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. These tools may set cookies and collect technical information about your visit (such as pages viewed, device type, and approximate location). They do not receive your name, email address, mobile number, or any signature data.

How long we keep it

We retain your information for the period set on each petition, after which encrypted personal data may be purged from our records while aggregate signature counts are retained.

Your rights

You may at any time:

  • request a copy of the information we hold about you;

  • request that we correct any inaccuracies;

  • request that we delete your information (subject to legal record-keeping obligations).
